The Portuguese Society of Paediatrics and the Society of Paediatric Infectious Diseases, and other entities linked to child and adolescent health, were represented in a working group that concluded that “while adolescents aged 12 and over with comorbidities associated with increased risk for COVID -19 severe should be prioritized for vaccination, it is prudent to obtain as much scientific evidence as possible before the final decision on universal vaccination of healthy children is made.”
