Several times, we use the expression Totalitarian State to define a State marked by the inexistence of rights, guarantees and liberties, along with a strong repression of the population, including the death penalty.

There is always some difficulty in defining it; however, we often resort to two extreme forms that occurred in the recent past, particularly in the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s of the last century: Fascism and Socialism.
