It is rumored, by the mentideros – a Castilian word that means a place where people gather to talk, but that, when Portuguese is used, becomes a place where rumors and lies are spread – that I am a denier of covid-19. Basically – and in this dispute it is never interesting to settle arguments, because epithets serve to refute the debate – because I have always challenged the pandemic management strategy; I have always argued that the severity of the disease depended on several variables – age, gender (stronger women) and certain morbidities being the main ones – and that, in this line, given the characteristics, “youth” and limitations of vaccines, inoculation programs should depend on the necessary weighing between precaution, risk, benefit and uncertainty.
